The
Boat

Lancer
36
Our
primary teaching vessel is a Lancer 36', a solidly-built, modern,
high-performance, sloop-rigged sailboat. The hull was based on
a boat named 'Chutzpa'. Designed by the legendary Bill Lee, the
prototype won the prestigious TransPac Race on two separate occasions,
and was the basis for a series of popular racer-cruiser hulls.
Lee's motto when it comes to sailboats, is 'Fast is Fun', and
the Lancer proves his point.
